Post Referendum Campaign

The East Grinstead Post Referendum Campaign aims to promote the democratic process, by advancing the views expressed by East Grinstead voters in the referendum on 19 June 2003, and by pursuing them to implementation.

It was launched on October 9 with the intention of ensuring that present plans for massive over-development are reduced to an acceptable scale. For this purpose the following residents’ organisations in and around East Grinstead, from Crawley Down to Forest Row, are all coming together:

• Association of Imberhorne Residents
• Forest Row Association
• Crawley Down Residents’ Association
• Protest Against Road Outrage
• East Grinstead Society
• Three Counties Group

This is the first time all these residents’ organisations have come together in this way to ensure that East Grinstead’s voters get what they voted for. Their Campaign is action-oriented and will disband when its mission is achieved.
